Attend project progress meetings and provide input to project/programme plans. Respond to TQs and RFIs relating to civil engineering matters. Ability to apply appropriate effort for engineering assurance required for varied volume and complexity [Buildings] works, identifying areas that may serve as a greater risk to network rail, and increasing assurance measures in accordance with CD processes. Support NR SPE in discipline specific information required to inform commercial, risk, programme integration, sponsor, requirements, maintenance liaison and operational liaison meetings. You’ll need to have: BEng/BSc or equivalent/higher qualification in building/building services/civil/structural engineering. Membership of a relevant professional institution. Significant experience in building services. An understanding of design check categories, and arrangements required for independent assessment of work. Knowledge of risks within operational railway environment. Knowledge of other functional railway disciplines. Good interpersonal, influencing, communication and organisation skills. Good understanding of quality assurance, environmental, and commercial processes. Undertake the role of DPE/PE varied volume and complexity [Buildings] programmes. Experience of working with NR internal delivery teams. Experience in managing high volume workbank. Knowledge of works delivery building, property & lineside portfolio. Attend designated office minimum 3/4 days a week. You’ll also have: Successful relevant experience in engineering disciplines, ideally with involvement in construction and design projects across multi discipline areas. Experience of working within works delivery organisation railway experience in applying RSE/02009 and CIV/003. Experience in assurance processes. Experience in CDM regulations and CSM risk acceptance. Experience in applying “design and construction in the high street environment” NR/L2/OHS/005 Experience of working as technical lead on Buildings & Property programmes.
