Job Description:
Due to a new opportunity, our client is seeking to employ an Electrical Test Engineer to cover multiple sites across Lincolnshire. This role involves performing Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) and repair work to ensure existing electrical installations are tested, maintained, and repaired to a safe and efficient standard, in compliance with current legislation.
Responsibilities:
Safety Compliance: Work safely, ensuring the health and safety of yourself and others at all times.
Electrical Installations: Carry out efficient repairs and maintenance on electrical installations to ensure full safety and functionality.
Reporting: Prepare detailed electrical installation condition reports (EICR) for customers.
Maintenance Checks: Perform daily safety and maintenance checks, documenting results.
Fault Diagnosis: Diagnose faults and perform effective and efficient repairs.
Advisory: Advise on foreseeable maintenance requirements and essential spare parts for electrical installations.
Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
PPM Scheme: Manage the operation of the Preventative Planned Maintenance (PPM) Scheme.
Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and plant performance.
Customer Queries: Handle any customer queries regarding repairs and delivery of parts.
Maximise Plant Performance: Maximise plant performance and availability through efficient testing and maintenance activities.
Essential Qualifications:
Education: General level of education and recognised craftsmen/time-served apprenticeship.
Inspection & Testing Certification: C&G 2391-52 Inspection and Testing (or equivalent).
Electrical Regulations: BS 7671, 18th Edition.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical testing, repair, and maintenance.
