Base pay range
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Indirect Tax Manager to join a well established brand on a 12-month fixed-term contract, overseeing indirect tax compliance across multiple regions. Based in Birmingham, this role is key in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of VAT compliance and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the preparation and submission of VAT returns for the UK and other European entities.
* Ensure accurate reconciliation of VAT accounts, maintaining a strong control framework.
* Complete and submit Intrastat and other VAT statistical returns for UK and EU entities, as well as handling OSS and IOSS filings.
* Collaborate with the VAT team to develop and document key compliance processes, ensuring financial controls are maintained.
* Support ongoing improvements to VAT processes.
* Work closely with senior tax leadership to implement process improvements.
* Provide ad hoc indirect tax advisory support as required.
Your profile:
* Qualified in tax or accounting, holding ATT, CTA, ICAEW, ICAS, or an equivalent qualification.
* Strong VAT compliance experience, with a proven track record of managing multi-country VAT obligations.
* A solid understanding of the indirect tax implications of goods movement, including VAT and Customs interactions, is advantageous.
* Experience working in a VAT-focused in-house role would be highly beneficial.
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
* A team player who can collaborate effectively and support junior team members in tax compliance preparation.
