Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Payroll Assistant to join their busy team.
Reporting to the Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for the payroll ‘end to end’. When handling all payroll processing duties, you must be dedicated, committed to accuracy in all transactions and will need to assist both the HR and Accounting departments when necessary.
Payroll Assistant Responsibilities:
1. Handle the monthly payroll from start to finish, also being involved with micro-payrolls.
2. Assist in the generation of bonus and commission calculations.
3. Update all payroll related spreadsheets daily, ensuring they are maintained accurately.
4. Keep all payroll data records up to date on a daily basis.
5. Process HMRC payments with the FD’s approval.
6. Prepare information required by third parties including pension returns, attachment of earnings and salary sacrifice schemes.
7. Ensure all additional staff payments are issued to employees as agreed, via bank transfer, and ensure payments are reflected on the following payslip.
As a Payroll Assistant, you will:
1. Need to have at least 2 years experience working in a payroll function with payroll legislation.
2. Be excellent at maths and have a great eye for spotting anomalies.
3. Be confident using Microsoft Office with great IT skills.
4. Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
5. Be friendly but professional in your approach and work well within a team.
6. Experience with MHR iTrent Payroll would be an advantage.
Payroll Assistant Package:
Basic up to £24,500 Depending on Experience
