Financial Accountant As a Financial Accountant, you'll be responsible for preparing statutory financial statements, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations. You will also play a key role in group reporting, consolidation, and the year-end close process, working closely with internal teams and external auditors to ensure accurate financial records and timely reporting.
What you'll do Statutory & Regulatory Compliance
Prepare and submit statutory financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
Ensure timely completion of Companies House filings, HMRC submissions, and other regulatory requirements.
Assist with corporation tax returns, VAT returns, and other statutory filings.
Audit & Year-End Responsibilities
Manage the year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Liaise with external auditors, providing necessary documentation and responding to queries.
Prepare audit schedules and support the resolution of audit findings.
Ensure appropriate reconciliations and controls are in place for key balance sheet items.
Group Reporting & Consolidation
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.
