World Horse Welfare is seeking a senior lawyer to join our Council of Trustees, providing expert guidance on commercial and chancery matters. Our charity works tirelessly to protect horses from suffering and neglect, and your input will be invaluable in shaping our governance and strategy.
We value diversity in all its forms and encourage expressions of interest from under-represented groups, including people from a broad age range, LGBTQ+, ethnically-diverse communities and disabled individuals. As a Council Member, you will play a key role in informing our day-to-day work and contributing to our forward-thinking approach to anticipating challenges and change.
Our Council includes professionals with diverse areas of expertise, interests, and backgrounds, and we are looking for someone with empathy for our aims and an interest in helping us guide our work. While equine experience is beneficial, it is not essential – what matters most is your ability to share our values of being realistic, compassionate, and forward-thinking.
In return for your time and knowledge, you will enjoy the opportunity to use and build your skills, attend special events, become part of an outstanding network, and influence the direction of our charity. We take pride in our approach, which is guided by our commitment to realistic solutions, compassionate attitudes, and forward-thinking decision-making.
