At Lothian Pension Fund (LPF), we administer the local government pension scheme (LGPS) in Edinburgh and the Lothians and are one of approximately a hundred LGPS funds in the UK. We're an asset-backed and multi-employer scheme with around £10 billion of assets and the second largest LGPS fund in Scotland, serving approximately 88,900 members and 56 active employers.

An opportunity has arisen for someone to join the finance team, as an Accounting Administrator, on a 12 month fixed term contract. We'd love to hear from you if you have previous finance experience, have excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
The role
Wide variety of day-to-day duties in the Finance team including:
* Investment Back Office administration - produce monthly investment reconciliations, cash flow/trade settlement monitoring, IBOR reconciliations and administration of unlisted assets.
* Pay Control tasks including weekly pensioner immediate payments run and assist the monthly pensioner /LPFE staff payroll.
* Production of Financial Accounting information including the reconciliation of Fund bank accounts, employer contributions and pension payments.
* General activities such as production of KPI's for Senior Leadership Team (SLT), processing of Lothian Pension Fund (LPF) Group purchase/sales invoices and daily administration of staff time management system.
What experience are we looking for?
* Educated to at least standard grade level (including mathematics or another numerical subject), desirably with a professional qualification in one of the following: accounting administration; investment administration; payroll administration.
* Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
* Experience in an investment/finance environment, desirably with practical experience of using a financial accounting system.
* Clean basic vetting checks.
