Summary of role
Working as a learning support assistant at Red Balloon takes a special kind of person. A person who loves to take the time to really get to know their students. Key Responsibilities
1. Develop a professional relationship with students to ensure they are supported during their time with Red Balloon;
2. Ensure students are appropriately supervised at all times;
3. Facilitate wellbeing sessions, physical activities and other educational activities as required each day;
4. Record progress through Red Balloon processes, systems and other agreed on assessment and tracking tools in order to effectively monitor progress;
5. Participate in outings and trips with the Red Balloon community;
6. Communicate and collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to ensure students receive high-quality support and input to facilitate individual progression;
7. Consult with each learner in order to identify their likes/dislikes, abilities and personal preferences to assist with their learning;
8. Regularly assess the effectiveness of the activities and adapt/change where necessary.
This is a term time only position.
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: Up to £14,190.00 per year
Expected hours: No more than 32.5 per week
