They currently have an exciting opportunity for a SCM Specialist to join their team based in Aberdeen on a 12-month fixed term contract.
This role is working within their Offshore Division, so marine/vessel SCM experience is needed.
What You'll Do:
As a Buyer, you'll support global operations by managing procurement and supply chain functions ensuring the timely delivery of goods, services, and equipment for projects worldwide. Responsibilities include wider SCM experience such as sourcing, supplier management, procurement, expediting, logistics, inventory management, and warehousing.
1. Handle the procurement for assigned vessels, assets, or operational facilities.
2. Develop and implement expediting and logistics plans to ensure timely deliveries.
3. Follow established supply chain processes, utilising systems to track performance metrics.
4. Work closely with teams and suppliers to optimise costs and enhance value.
5. Assist in vendor selection, management, and performance assessment.
6. Keep detailed records and reports, addressing any issues proactively.
What We're Looking For:
1. Procurement experience coming from an energy sector background.
2. Experience in marine or vessel supply chain management, with familiarity in procurement processes and RFQ/tendering.
3. Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft 365. Experience with SAP or SAP Ariba is desirable.
4. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to prioritise and manage your workload efficiently.
5. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, negotiate, and network effectively at all levels.
