We are always on the lookout for people who care about pets as much as we do!
With more than 440 small animal practices across the country, of all shapes and sizes, Vets for Pets is one of the largest UK veterinary groups and offers Veterinary Surgeons a range of opportunities, including the opportunity to run your own practice. However, what really makes Vets for Pets a unique opportunity is that it is run locally, providing our local teams the time and opportunity to support their local community. This means you can join a team that can support your individual needs while offering you a bespoke introduction to the practice, local community, and caring for our patients!
Grimsby Vets for Pets are looking for a veterinary surgeon to join our collaborative, fun, and supportive team who have a diverse range of interests between them. We’re a happy team who pride ourselves on the high standard of care we provide to our clients and the way we work together.
Our established, stand-alone practice has been owned and run by Doctor Agata since 2012, and the clinical team now consists of 3 experienced vets, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN, and dedicated support staff including 2 Nursing Assistants. Within the vet team, we have a variety of interests including soft tissue surgery, cardiology, dermatology, regenerative medicine, ECC, and one of our vets has a particular focus on feline medicine and fear-free handling. We also welcome a visiting advanced certificate holder in small animal orthopaedic surgery, meaning we can keep many of our cases in-house. We also offer physiotherapy, laser therapy, and behavioural advice and have dental x-ray, showing that this is a great place for you to feel supported and follow your interests.
As a growing practice, we are always interested in hearing from local talent interested in working with us. Because everyone is at different stages in their veterinary career, we are open to speaking to anyone. So, if you are an experienced vet looking for somewhere they can mentor and lead a team or a new graduate wanting that first step on the career ladder, we want to hear from you. We are not just interested in hearing from vets with our ambitious plans; we want to hear from nurses wanting to expand their knowledge, student nurses looking for paid roles to gain experience, and anyone wanting to enter a career in animal care interested in our veterinary care assistant or client care assistant positions.

Pets just see people. They aren’t biased and they don’t discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves, so even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
