I2 Group, a Harris Computer company, are seeking an experienced Manager of Projects & Resourcing to support with key initiatives for the business.
This permanent position will be performed on a remote basis with a requirement to visit the i2 Office in Cambridge, UK as and when there is a business need to do so (circa 2 days per month).
The Manager of Projects & Resources plays a critical leadership role in the Professional Services (PS) organization. This position is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of services projects, optimizing resource utilization and profitability, and driving operational excellence. The role involves collaborating with multiple departments and customers, managing a diverse team, and implementing processes to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
The Role
In performing this position, your core duties and responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):
Project Management
1. Ensure on-time delivery and profitability of all services projects.
2. Plan and allocate resources to projects, optimizing utilization and financial outcomes.
3. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource schedules.
4. Assist in the planning and scoping of future project deliveries, involving subject matter experts as needed.
5. Identify and address potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Team Leadership
1. Manage the overall Professional Services team from an HR perspective, including recruitment, performance evaluations, and professional development.
2. Build and lead cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects.
3. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the team.
4. Assist in establishing a graduate program to onboard and nurture new talent in the department.
Operational Excellence
1. Spot efficiencies in project delivery to maximize engagement, profitability, and customer approval.
2. Establish and document best practices and processes to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
3. Act as the owner of the PSA tool, ensuring it is used to its full potential to support project and resource management.
Stakeholder Collaboration
1. Collaborate with Sales, R&D, and Support teams to ensure seamless project execution.
2. Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and milestones.
3. Manage stakeholder expectations to ensure alignment with project objectives and deliverables.
Financial and Strategic Management
1. Assist the VP of PS in driving departmental revenue and profitability.
2. Track project metrics and provide regular reports on project outcomes and resource utilization.
3. Contribute to strategic decision-making and support the smooth running of the department.

2. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
3. Financial knowledge of professional services, including forecasting and profitability analysis.
4. Experience leading and motivating teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and success.
