Responsibilities
Exercise Physiologist
Band 5: £29,970-£36,483
37.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Exercise Physiologist in Locala with an interest and commitment in providing community specialist rehabilitation programmes (Pulmonary / Cardiac Rehabilitation).
The post holder will be required to deliver exercise sessions, which include education and clinical support to patients. They will also be expected to prescribe and adapt exercise safely in a variety of settings, including community classes, gym, and in patients' homes.
The successful candidate will have a good clinical knowledge of long-term health conditions, experience of leading exercise classes and be committed to teamwork to enhance our multi-disciplinary teams.
You will be supported by our B7 and B6 lead Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologist to provide high standards of care and management for patients with long-term health conditions.
The post is for a band 5 exercise physiologist which would be appropriate for qualified exercise trainers who are looking to expand their experience, knowledge and skills in the rehabilitation services and meet the criteria of the job description.
Integral to the role within the team will be to:
1. Deliver & support the running of exercise group sessions and home activity programs, including assessments and monitoring.
2. The post holder will use/develop skills to provide specialist exercise delivery and advice for patients with long-term health conditions and assist in the development of self-management skills for patients and their carers.
3. The role will provide a resource for healthcare and exercise professionals and patients, providing both formal and informal education and training.
