Support Worker Salary: £12.21 per hour Location: Leicester LE4 Contracted Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Fully Flexible, Alternative Weekends) Days and/or Nights: Days, but occasional night support may be required About Us: This Care Home provides exceptional care for individuals with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, complex needs, and challenging behaviours. The 22-bed service is designed to meet the needs of adults aged 18 in a compassionate and nurturing environment. We are looking for an experienced Support Worker to join our dedicated team and make a real difference in the lives of our service users. The Role: As a Support Worker you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with varying needs. You will assist with day-to-day activities, promote independence, and offer emotional support, all while ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for everyone. This is a fully flexible role, offering a work-life balance with the expectation of working alternative weekends. Although your primary hours will be during the day, there may be occasions where night support is required. Key Responsibilities: Provide support to individuals with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and complex needs. Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and social activities. Encourage independence and support service users in achieving their personal goals. Work closely with colleagues and external professionals to deliver holistic care. Ensure the health and safety of service users and the home environment. Assist with monitoring and recording any changes in health and behaviour. Person Specification: Minimum of 1 year’s experience as a Support Worker (Essential). Experience working with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, complex needs, and challenging behaviour is highly desirable. Compassionate, patient, and understanding, with the ability to build positive relationships. Ability to work flexibly and support both day and occasional night shifts.
