This role is central to ensuring robust financial controls and supporting accurate financial reporting within a team that emphasises controls, assurance, and high standards in accounting services. Job Description As a Financial Accountant, you will focus on balance sheet control, income statement management, and analysis, working closely with the Senior Financial Accountant to refine processes, drive cost efficiencies, and enhance overall financial performance. Your responsibilities will encompass the management of financial tasks across customer contracts, ensuring timely and accurate account reporting and reconciliation. You will play a key role in executing core financial processes, proactively addressing finance-related needs and maintaining open communication with customers and ISS stakeholders. By delivering value-added financial services to Account Leadership and customers, you will help align financial goals with ISS's broader business objectives, contributing to a culture of financial excellence and strategic support. Key Responsibilities Adhere to internal financial controls and complete Controls Self-Assessments Conduct and ensure accuracy in balance sheet reconciliations per UK&I standards Support external and internal audits, including Financial Controls & Assurance reviews Perform Month-End Close tasks for assigned accounts, including accruals and prepayments Assist in managing Overdue Accounts Receivable and Trade Working Capital Investigate and explain variances from financial forecasts Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or equivalent experience Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills Excellent written and verbal communication Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex information Sound judgment and decision-making abilities Highly organised with effective planning and time management Meticulous attention to detail Ability to perform well under pressure and challenge existing processes The Company ISS is a world-leading workplace and facility management company, connecting people and places to make the world work better.
