The Best Connection are currently seeking HGV 7.5tn drivers for our prestigious client based in West Thurrock. Drivers will be required to deliver furniture and household goods to customer's homes. As you will be delivering to customers homes, a level of customer facing skills would be required as you would be acting as the face of the business. Due to the nature of the role, heavy lifting will be required.
Hours of Work:
* Schedule: Monday to Saturday deliveries.
* Start Time: 5:45am with up to 10 hour days.
Pay rates:
* £15 per hour (PAYE). Overtime rates are also available at £22.50 per hour after working 8 hours.
Duties include:
* Driving a 7.5T vehicle (Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience is essential).
* Delivering and installing furniture to customer's homes in and around the London and South East areas.
* The role will involve heavy lifting due to the products that you will be delivering. Assistance will be given with a driver’s mate who will assist with both delivery and installation.
* Providing exemplary customer service when coming face to face with customers.
Skills and experience required:
* Cat C1 Licence.
* Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph Card with understanding of cards.
* Good knowledge of London & Kent would be desirable.
* Good English as you will be delivering to customers.
