Morrison Water Services is proud to be a key partner on the Caledonia Water Alliance and will successfully and safely work with Scottish Water to jointly deliver SR21, a six-year water and wastewater infrastructure capital investment programme. Due to ongoing growth, we have exciting opportunities for experienced Lead Estimators to join our growing Water division!
Caledonia Water (CWA) is a joint venture alliance between Aecom and Morrison Water Services (MWS), supporting the delivery of Scottish Water's SR21 Capital Investment Programme.
We are responsible for the delivery of a pan Scotland £700M water and wastewater infrastructure programme over a 6-year alliance framework.

As the Estimating Manager, you will be part of our Operations Team, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our water infrastructure and civil engineering projects.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:
* Providing estimating support with bids and contracts to ensure robust pricing, risk management, and governance.
* Assisting and advising the Senior Management Team on commercial influences and risks around any bids.
* Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to produce accurate and timely estimates/cost data.
* Ensuring supplier/subcontractor terms are back-to-back with client requirements and assessing any deviations.
* Prioritising workload and supporting the team to produce results in a timely manner to meet business needs.
* Day-to-day liaison with and influencing of key stakeholders, such as customers and operational colleagues.
* Developing and implementing changes to processes to improve performance.
* Providing post-award support to the Ops and Commercial teams, ensuring tender model and pricing is understood.
* Travelling to sites to ascertain the scope of works as required.
Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
* Experience within the water industry is essential, preferably in both water and wastewater, infra and non-infra environments; other utility estimating experience is advantageous.
* Preferably experience in delivering water and/or wastewater projects.
* Effective communication and negotiating skills.
* Excellent people management skills.
* Ability and desire to identify opportunities and influence change.
* Ability to react to constant workloads and delegate accordingly.
* Commercial and contractual knowledge and understanding of various forms of NEC Contracts (Options A to E).
* Able to follow processes and governance.
* Able to present and use planning and visual software applications.
* Knowledge of estimating tools and techniques.
* Knowledge of estimating software packages such as Conquest, Causeway, Candy, etc.
Qualifications:
Preferably degree qualified in engineering, Quantity Surveying, cost & planning or similar, but industry experience will also be considered.
