Account Manager - Field Sales
Our client, a water services supplier, is looking for an Account Manager to join them on a permanent basis to do Field Sales in the North East of England.
The purpose of this role is to maintain and develop client relationships, demonstrating system knowledge, effective contract management of existing accounts, and generation of new sales within the Lincolnshire/Humber region. You will be selling, demonstrating, and promoting our range of speciality water and process chemicals and monitoring technologies.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Working with customers and prospects to meet desired sales and service needs.
2. Develop and execute customer account sales plans, coordinating all proposal activity, from generating quotes to processing POs.
3. Manage customer satisfaction and escalate customer concerns for resolution.
4. Coordinate support resources to maintain and grow existing and win/close new accounts.
5. Participate in plant visits, audits/surveys, and any trial working. Where required, conduct appropriate water analysis/testing and report.
6. Maintain the integrity of strategies and implementation of sales/marketing programs to achieve sales goals within your assigned territory/market.
7. Meet or exceed assigned quotas (activities and results).
8. Drive the right behaviours around Safety, Team Work, Company strategies, and initiatives.
Qualifications/Experience:
1. Essential to this role is the ability to build and develop relationships with customers whilst supporting multiple managers and teams.
2. You will have outstanding communication across all platforms and customer service skills that are a natural extension of your personality.
3. You should be able to demonstrate excellent project management experience and a track record of exceeding targets.
4. Your background will be in Account Management or sales in a water/process treatment company or industrial plant.
5. Technically qualified in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical or similar Engineering environment - or time-served in the industry.
6. Strong value delivery and selling strategies with a track record of winning new accounts and developing markets.
7. Knowledge of speciality water and process chemicals and associated monitoring technologies.
8. Enthusiastic, responsible team player with a positive attitude for product and personal learning.
9. A UK driving licence is a must.
Location: North East England (remote/on the road)
Salary: £32,395 - £43,671
