We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join one of the prestigious NHS Trusts in North West England. Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage a caseload of paediatric patients with varying needs, providing specialized occupational therapy interventions.
2. Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to develop personalized therapy plans.
3. Work closely with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and promote the child's development.
4. Provide advice on adaptations to children's environments, such as home or school settings, to support their independence and well-being.
5. Monitor and evaluate the progress of children, adjusting interventions as necessary to optimize outcomes.
6. Support junior staff and contribute to their development through supervision, training, and mentoring.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with NHS guidelines, ensuring quality care and continuity.
Required Skills and Experience:
8. HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
9. Proven experience working as a Band 6 Paediatric Occupational Therapist, preferably within the NHS.
10. Strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to manage a paediatric caseload independently.
11. Experience in providing assessments and interventions for children with a variety of conditions, including developmental and physical challenges.
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with children, families, and healthcare professionals.
13. Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and contribute to overall team goals.
