We are exclusively representing a leading manufacturer of test and measurement equipment. They are looking to hire an Electronics Repair Technician to be based in their lab in Norwich.
The main responsibilities would be:
1. To test and repair a wide variety of equipment to ensure adherence to defined specifications and quality standards.
2. As required by the Production Team Leader, to assess/sign calibration certificates for defined products.
3. Responsible for adherence to defined processes in assigned work area, including but not limited to: Standard Work Instructions, 5S Standards, Safe Systems of Work, or Engineering Drawings.
4. Take part in the complex diagnosis and rework of products down to component level and record and/or escalate fault(s) to Team Leaders/Manufacturing Engineering/Metrology/Quality Engineer(s) as required.
5. As required, partake in the creation, review, and implementation of new procedures/work instructions, including suggesting improvements to currently issued procedures for both current and new products.
Education:
The ideal candidate will have qualifications similar to the below. We will, however, consider candidates who have relevant/equivalent on-the-job experience in the electronics field.
1. HND/HNC in Electronics/Electrical Engineering (Analog Preferred)
2. Degree in Electrical Engineering
Functional Knowledge:
1. Use of Test and Measurement Equipment (DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Waveform Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.)
2. In-depth understanding of electronic component theory and practical application and behavior.
3. RF Electronics understanding/experience is a significant benefit.
