Job Title: Fire Risk & Strategy Manager
Location: London
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time, Monday-Friday
As part of the Fire and Building Safety Department, the Lead Fire Strategy Manager will report to the Head of Fire and Building Safety.
Key Skills / Responsibilities:
* Deputise for the Head of Fire and Building Safety in meetings and enquiries
* Support business growth, external accreditations, and client retention
* Assist stakeholders in managing customer expectations and product offerings
* Deliver internal and external fire safety training to non-technical audiences
* Develop fire strategy documents and safety management plans for new and existing buildings
* Provide fire safety advice throughout design, construction, and occupancy stages
* Oversee deliverables from internal and external consultants
* Contribute to the development of internal fire safety policies and procedures
* Line manage Senior Fire Strategy Consultants, including regular 1-1s
* Undertake complex Fire Risk Assessments across multiple sectors when required
* Validate fire safety reports and provide advice within scope of competence
* Maintain CPD and adhere to fire safety legislation and company policies
* Escalate risks appropriately and stay updated with industry changes
* Manage own schedule, including travel and accommodation for site visits
* Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and key stakeholders
Additional Requirements:
* 6+ years' experience completing retrospective fire and design strategies
* Appropriate formal fire safety or fire risk assessment qualification (L5+)
* Significant experience in reviewing fire strategy and fire engineering designs
* Strong Fire Safety and Risk Management experience
* Strong understanding of external walls and compartmentation requirements
* Experience with Residential and Commercial properties (where appropriate)
* Excellent attention to detail
* IT skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
* Outstanding report writing skills
* Excellent Technical understanding of fire safety mitigation, risk profiles, and appropriate guidance documentation
* Ability to prioritise and organise own and team workloads
* Valid driving licence
