Business Development Manager – Direct Mail/Transactional Mail/Print Management
Location: West Midlands
The Company:
My client specialises within the Direct Mail, Transactional Mail & Print Management sector.
The Role:
1. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan aligned with the companies targets.
2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Direct Mail, Hybrid Mail, Transactional Mail, UK & International Postage, and Print Management sectors.
3. Build and develop a significant pipeline of new business opportunities, focusing on the company’s key sectors.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and newly onboarded clients.
5. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of client projects.
6. Grow and develop new customers by effectively quoting, converting leads, and serving as a key point of contact.
7. Regular contact with existing customers to develop the spend, frequency of use and profitability for the company under the guidance of the Sales Director.
8. Ensuring maximum customer satisfaction to increase probability of retention.
9. Stay updated on industry trends and competitors to maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements:
1. Proven track record of success in B2B sales within the above specified sectors, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
2. Knowledge of postal services and products is essential.
3. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
4. Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently.
5. Results-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
6. Willingness to travel as needed.
7. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; Salesforce experience is preferable.
8. Highly motivated and energetic individual with a proactive approach to business development.
9. Clear Communication – ability to liaise with colleagues and clients effectively.
10. Teamwork – a positive member of the Sales & Client Services team.
11. Attention to detail – complete work without the need for supervision and work to deadlines.
