Job Description
We are recruiting for a Senior Export Contract Manager to work for a leading Defence organisation on a contract basis. The role will be a hybrid position with 3 days on-site in Stevenage or Bristol and 2 days remote.
Requirements include a defence background (not essential), senior line management experience, and expertise in commercial contracts, contract management, and delivery.

The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity within the Programmes Export Operations Directorate for an experienced Export Contract Manager. The successful candidate will demonstrate broad commercial, financial, and project management skills to lead and deliver complex export contracts.
The Role Involves:
* Leading the commercial interface with international government and military customers for contract delivery, up to a senior level.
* Managing multiple cross-domain and geographically diverse contracts.
* Ensuring contract schedules are met to maintain high customer satisfaction and foster strong relationships.
* Proactively resolving contract delivery issues through risk and opportunity management.
* Leading customer acceptance events, transport solutions, and capturing contractual payments.
* Communicating effectively with customers, government and industrial partners, and internal teams.
* Negotiating contract amendments and supporting sales and business development efforts.
* Collaborating with NATCO offices in France, Spain, and Italy on export contracts.
Candidate Profile:
* Strong leadership, influencing, and relationship management skills.
* Ability to operate in complex political environments and communicate strategic intent.
* Experience leading contract delivery in both bidding and execution phases, preferably internationally.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in teams.
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills with a confident leadership style.
* Experience managing people and stakeholder relationships.
* Willingness to travel internationally and embrace different cultures.
* Experience preparing bid submissions and holding Business Bid Authority roles.
* Experience working in large, complex organizations with cross-functional collaboration.
