We are currently recruiting for full-time (37.5 hours) support workers in the Thurnscoe area (S63 0JZ). Shifts are 7.5 hours and are a mixture of Early (07.30-15.00) and lates (14.30-22.00). You would be required to work 3 weekends out of 4.

The role of a Support Worker is so much more than just a job; you will make a real difference to individuals’ everyday lives.
At Ivy Care, you would assist people living with different mental health needs and physical disabilities to live their lives more independently and support them to reach their potential by providing both physical and emotional support.
We’re looking for people who are committed to developing their own professional skills and abilities. This is supported by a variety of training opportunities including safeguarding, communication, and the ability to complete the Care Certificate and an NVQ in Adult Care.

Ivy Care has been providing a network of high-quality specialist learning disabilities and complex needs services for more than 20 years.
What we are looking for:

* Have an understanding of Autism, anxiety, and the challenging behaviours that this can present or be willing to learn
* Work as part of a dedicated team in one of our supported living services where we support adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Working and supporting adults with complex needs to create positive outcomes and promote independence.
* Direct practical interactions with adults including, activities, cooking, personal care, and engaging with the wider community.
* Providing practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations.
* Engage in planning and coordination of activities as a team.
* Engage in planning, implementation, and delivery of support plans.
* Working in partnership with other agencies.
* As part of the role, you will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents to regulatory standards.
Because of the nature of its work with vulnerable adults, Ivy Care uses the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) to make checks at an enhanced level. This post is subject to an enhanced level DBS check.
