Gleeson have an exciting new opportunity for a Major Projects Director. This role is flexible within the North Division.The role is comprehensive management of project scopes, timelines, and budgets, ensuring each facet adheres to theagreed-upon parameters. Coordinate the timely delivery of large-scale housing infrastructure projects and land parcelling/sales, collaborating with all internal departments and external stakeholders.A major responsibility on the quality sale and delivery to all stakeholders and engaging closely with all throughout the process, including external stakeholders such as; developers, care homes, medical centres etc; partners; as well as delivery to our internal regions. Main responsibilities To deliver and coordinate several large-scale projects commercially to work within established budgets to provide a cost effective and time aligned project delivery. Assist in the process of appointing, engaging and managing external consultants, to ensure they support and commercially deliver against requirements. Effectively manage and maintain strong working relationships with internal partners across multiple disciplines to drive the project forward within specific regions to the given project to deliver the project on time, in line with quality standards, in budget and safely. Take responsibility for ensuring all contractual and planning obligations are met. Effectively planning, communicating, organising and managing several work streams simultaneously and communicating effectively with client representatives. Applying analytical and numerical knowledge and skills to assess problems with an ability to quicklyunderstandcomplex problems and shape these into workable solutions for delivery. Be an Ambassador of the Home Safe culture and always ensure site teams, customers, external partners and stakeholders fully comply with our responsibilities under Health & Safety, Environmental and Corporate Responsibility policies and processes and ensure they are applied consistently across all areas of responsibility. Continuously audit and evaluate construction team performance across all key areas, KPIs and other metrics and take appropriate action to ensure standards are met. Ensure Site Management (Internal and external): Are fully engaged with, and are aware of and in control of, their respective programmes, budgets, targets, valuations, cost variations mitigation measures and expected standards. Take ownership for the performance of their development and the delivery of quality build standards. Take timely and controlled action to identify and resolve issues that affect quality delivery and commercial performance. Ensuring all Construction activities are effectively managed within budget and in line with Group policies, procedures and processes. Required skills and qualifications Professional Qualification e.g. BSc/HND/Member of recognised professional body. Strong technical background, evidenced by previous experience in delivering large schemes with complex infrastructure delivery, ideally involving several stakeholders. Strong Commercial awareness, evidenced by previous experience of delivery within budget. Experience of NEC Contracts, that facilitates the implementation of sound project management and procurement principles and practices, as well as defining legal relationships. Ability and experience of leading a multi disciplined team and ability to provide detailed reports to Line Manager / Exec Board. Strong IT skills including word / excel and Microsoft Project planning.
