You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
1. Grow existing customers while generating new business with a passion for sales and achieving key business KPIs.
2. Work independently within a set sales strategy to meet account-specific budgets.
3. Lead cross-functional projects to ensure delivery on time, on spec, and within budget.
4. Develop and implement customer-specific sales plans aligned with commercial targets.
5. Track and review performance against customer KPIs and targets.
6. Use resourcefulness and innovation to drive value, gross margin, and volume targets.
7. Assign, monitor, and coordinate project milestones with internal and external stakeholders.
8. Lead and plan project implementation, managing resources and relationships effectively.
9. Drive innovation and NPD through market research and identify growth opportunities.
10. Contribute to the wider commercial team by supporting colleagues, sharing ideas, and helping achieve team and company growth objectives.
What's required?
1. Strong commercial acumen and account management skills.
2. Sales process expertise, including winning new business.
3. Ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
4. Skilled in negotiation and influencing outcomes.
5. Proficient in data analytics and analysis.
6. P&L management experience.
7. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
8. People management and leadership abilities.
9. Minimum of 3 years' experience supplying food to top 6 UK retailers.
10. Retail/FMCG experience, ideally within private label for top 6 grocers.
11. Experience within the food product category.
12. Branded food supply experience to top 6 grocers (advantageous but not essential).
13. Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and set priorities.
14. Experience in Critical Path Management.
15. Resource planning and allocation expertise.
16. Project risk assessment skills.
17. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint.
