Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the Head of People Services in delivery of a comprehensive range of workforce and organisational development and human resources activities throughout the Clinical Boards. This will include the actions to increase engagement of the workforce, the facilitation of workforce redesign and new ways of working, management of operational HR issues; performance management and monitoring of workforce KPIs, embedding good people management practices and developing and raising managerial and team capabilities. The post holder will be proactive and will have a person-centred approach in all that they do.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* CIPD member or equivalent experience and evidence of continuing professional development and acquiring new skills/knowledge.
* Postgraduate Diploma or equivalent experience.
Experience
* Undertaking a generalist Human Resources role.
* Working with Human Resources Policies and Procedures.
* Delivery of Human Resources Policy Training Sessions.
* Undertaking/coaching disciplinary investigations.
* Dealing with complex ER issues.
* Managing a change process.
* Experience of Sickness management to appeal stage.
* Managing and leading a team.
* Information Management and Technology experience, with proficiency in IT software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Skills and Knowledge
* Knowledge of HR policies and procedures specifically Sickness, Disciplinary, Capability, Dignity at work and Organisational Change.
* Up to date knowledge of employment law.
* I.T. Proficiency particularly in the use of word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
* Excellent written and English language skills.
