Are you a Qualified Accountant looking for an exciting new project? Mac Recruit Group is working in partnership with a reputable organisation to recruit a Finance Change Accountant.
Role Overview: Our client, a well-regarded organisation, is seeking a Part Time Finance Change Accountant to join on an initial 6 month fixed term contract and support the Finance function in enhancing the financial control environment. This role involves driving change and automation within core finance systems and processes, replacing Accounts Payable/Receivable and Payment systems, and re-engineering control and reporting processes. This position is vital for achieving the finance function’s strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Managing finance change project plans according to agreed scope and timelines
* Leading data cleansing to ensure data accuracy for migration
* Collaborating with vendors to configure systems/workflows to meet the finance function's specific needs
* Leading User Acceptance Testing
* Overseeing integration and implementation of new systems
* Designing and implementing re-engineered internal financial controls aligned with the new controls environment
* Reviewing and refining financial policies and procedures to mitigate risk and enhance operational efficiency
* Ensuring the integrity of financial data, including reconciliations and reporting outputs
* Developing a new reporting suite to provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making and performance improvement
* Supporting wider business representatives with guidance and training
* Working closely with IT and other departments to integrate enhanced control measures into wider business processes
* Re-engineering supporting processes and reporting
Personal and Professional Qualities:
* Ideally Qualified Accountant with 3+ years PQE
* Strong understanding of finance operations, systems, and processes
* Proven success in leading change initiatives within finance or similar environments
* High levels of confidentiality and integrity
* Advanced MS Excel capabilities
* Excellent planning, prioritisation, and time management skills, delivering high-quality output to agreed deadlines
* Good communication skills (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail
* Strong team player with the ability to use own initiative

* A starting salary of £65,000 (pro-rata)
