A pro-active mainstream secondary school within the Dudley area is looking for a clear-headed individual who is seeking a new challenge supporting varying individuals on a 1:1 basis within their classrooms. As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will work on a timetable basis with different young people during different lessons, supporting them to access the learning taught by the teacher in the classroom. This is a secondary school with a supportive spirit and strong community ethos.
The School requires a teaching assistant with previous experience of supporting varying needs such as Autism, learning difficulties, and Dyslexia, as well as other needs which affect the individual's ability to access the curriculum. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 3:30, where you will work with different individuals at different times of the day on a timetable basis. Requirements:
1. Experience in working with varying SEND needs – Essential
2. Experience in working with individuals aged 11 to 19 years – Highly Desirable
3. Experience working in a secondary school setting - Desirable
4. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service required or we’re happy to carry out a new one ahead of you starting the position – Essential
5. Minimum of 2 good references – Essential
