Main duties of the job As a GP with Health Alliance Primary Care Network, you will play a vital role in delivering patient care, following the GMS contract and Enhanced Services objectives. Key responsibilities include: Conducting routine and urgent appointments, both face-to-face and via telephone, ensuring high-quality care. Prescribing according to local and national guidelines. Handling home visits for routine and emergency cases. Managing administrative tasks, such as letters, results, referrals, and emails, in a timely manner. Making appropriate referrals and managing related admin. Checking and signing repeat prescriptions to maintain care quality. Providing cover for colleagues in emergencies, considering individual commitments. Participating in on-call sessions as per pro-rata hours. Supporting Extended Hours services, enhancing patient access. Collaborating with other health and social care providers to deliver integrated care. Maintaining accurate consultation records using the Emis system. Offering clinical support to colleagues, helping the team meet high standards in patient care and QOF/Enhanced Services targets.
