The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a recently qualified candidate with a background in corporate tax to join Inizio's Group Tax function. The successful candidate should be tax-qualified with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a corporate tax environment.
Reporting to the Group Tax Manager, the Group Tax Accountant will provide support for managing the direct and indirect tax planning and compliance across several regions globally, including working closely with our Finance functions and external advisers. This is an ideal role for a candidate wishing to develop their career in tax while gaining exposure to a commercially focused tax function.
This is a permanent role, based in our central London office on Chancery Lane. We are offering a hybrid-working arrangement, which we hope supports a healthy work-life balance by creating more flexibility to meet work and personal commitments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Corporate Tax Compliance: ownership for accurate and timely preparation of corporate tax returns and supporting computations across a number of group companies.
2. Tax Accounting: preparation of current and deferred tax calculations for interim and year-end provisioning purposes, including forecasting and analysis of cash taxes and effective tax rates. Liaising with finance teams and external auditors on tax-related audit matters.
3. Projects: support the customisation and configuration of finance systems to optimise tax reporting and preparation for Pillar 2 compliance; support process improvements within the tax team; assist with group restructuring, M&A and ad hoc tax projects.
4. Maintaining excellent relationships across our finance teams and external advisors and partnering with our businesses to provide commercially focused tax advice.
5. Keeping up to date with legislative developments and ensuring implications of changes both domestically and in the international tax arena are addressed appropriately.
What you bring to the role
1. Tax qualified with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a corporate tax environment.
2. Proven record of achievement and highly motivated with ambitions to succeed.
3. Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight reporting deadlines, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
4. Flexible and adaptable team player, demonstrating the ability to quickly grasp new skills.
5. Strong IT skills (particularly Excel) and experience working with corporate tax compliance software.
6. Excellent knowledge of IFRS accounting and IAS12.
7. Experience with tax transfer pricing in a multinational enterprise (MNE) environment and exposure to overseas taxes is an advantage.
Qualifications
1. CIOT qualification is preferred. Candidates with equivalent experience or other relevant tax qualifications are encouraged to apply.
2. ACA or equivalent qualification with a strong practical tax background is required, preferably from a top 10 accounting practice background.
