As an IT Apprentice, youll become an integral part of our dedicated IT team, gaining hands-on experience and working towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by Baltic Apprenticeships. A Typical Day in the Job: Act as the first point of contact for IT incidents and user requests via phone and email. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly. Progress support calls internally or escalate to third-party providers as needed. Document user interactions and maintain an accurate help logging database. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and assist with resolving application, system, and infrastructure issues. Work with technologies like Active Directory, Office 365, and Mobile Device Management (MDM). Carry out hardware installations for desktops, laptops, and mobile phones. Use scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Batch) to assist with server tasks. Maintain accurate records of software, hardware, and firmware assets. Undertake training and personal development courses to enhance your skills. Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and the expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. Desired Qualities, Skills, and Knowledge: Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Excellent communication and listening skills, both written and verbal. Calm, patient, and methodical when dealing with challenging situations. A genuine interest in IT and technology, with a desire to learn and grow. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Previous experience in customer support or working on a service desk is a plus. Flexible attitude and ability to maintain confidentiality. Salary, Hours, & Benefits: Salary: £21,000 per year. Hours: 37 hours per week, with a 1-hour lunch break. Location: On-site at Eyre & Elliston Ltd. Benefits: 25 days of holiday entitlement, plus statutory days.
