Assignment Details: As a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to support students with special educational needs and disabilities, helping them access the curriculum and develop their independence. Key duties include:
1. Providing one-to-one and small group support to SEND students
2. Assisting with the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
3. Supporting students with physical, emotional, and learning difficulties
4. Collaborating with teachers to adapt learning materials for SEND students
5. Helping to create and maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment

Person Specification:
* Experience working with SEND students aged 11-18 in an educational setting
* Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (desirable)
* SEND-specific qualifications or training (highly desirable)
* Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one
* Excellent understanding of various special educational needs and disabilities
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to supporting SEND students
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Physical capability to support students with mobility issues when necessary
