A bit about me:
My name is Jamie, I am 26 years old and have autism. I am studying film, TV and digital production at Bath Spa University. My studying takes up a lot of time and focus as I can struggle due to my autism.
I live at home with my family in Melksham. I really enjoy bowls, indoor and outdoor, which we do as a family.
I like to game and have an X-Box. I am keen on music, films and TV. After university I would like to have a career in this field.
I’m a big WWE fan.
About the role:
I am looking for a PA to accompany me to the gym and help me build my confidence with exercising and using the gym equipment.
I would also like some support to access the trains to and from Bath for university and eventually learn the routes to go further afield, such as Bristol, Weymouth and London.
It would also be nice to meet for coffees etc. to talk over how my week has been and discuss any difficulties I have been having with university.
I’d like some help with socialising in general and choice making as it takes me longer to make decisions than the average person.
I am looking for a self-employed personal assistant only.
The kind of person I am looking for:
I would like someone with a sense of humour, who could use their jokes to help me when I’m feeling down or anxious but also recognise when humour isn’t appropriate.
I’d like to have someone with common interests, such as film, TV and music.
Someone with the knowledge and training of autism and their traits and triggers.
I need someone who is kind, patient, tolerant with good understanding.
