Coming into English National Ballet, you will find a community of artists, musicians, theatre and costume craftspeople, creatives, business and administration professionals across a range of disciplines, all working together to achieve a common goal: to bring world-class ballet to as many people as possible, wherever they are and whatever their means. We are a multi-skilled, multi-cultural, open and inclusive organisation and we place a high value on diversity and diversity of thought in our teams.
WHY JOIN ENGLISH NATIONAL BALLET?
Join an inclusive organisation
Join a team working with other like-minded professionals in your chosen career path; a community with international and local representation, developing our footprint in East London; an organisation where diversity and inclusion are core values, everyone can expect to be treated with dignity and respect and difference is valued in our teams.
Contribute your talent and skills
Your talent, skills and experience will be of immediate value so whatever your background, when you join us, you will start to contribute from day one. You will see how you can make a difference and can build on your transferable skills. In your role you will have the support of your line manager and your team. On joining you will have a plan for your induction and a development plan as you grow further into your role.
Contribute to our purpose
Bringing world-class ballet to as many people as possible, wherever they are and whatever their means; extending our reach to new audiences through digital; breaking through social barriers with our engagement programmes; bringing dance to different communities and people of all ages; developing our charitable purpose to take our work further into local and national communities.
Your line manager will offer support when you need it, and you will have open dialogue and constructive feedback to help you improve your performance. Given our scale, as a mid size organisation, there is access to senior management in each department and our senior leadership team keep us all informed with regular meetings.
In a safe space
We value what you value: your job security, your financial wellbeing, your wellbeing, your mental health, where work is a safe space and you can be yourself.
In a modern workplace
The Mulryan Centre for Dance, our state-of-the-art building at London City Island, is purpose built and is also a hub for the arts sector in London and for local visitors. If your work is office based, you may be able to request hybrid working after your probation period. You will be able to participate in various meet-up groups and get to know colleagues from other teams.
Learn and develop
We foster a culture of continuous learning and development and continuous improvement across the whole organisation. We recognise that these principles are at the heart of excellent performance. You will be encouraged to focus and reflect on your own learning, as you work on your objectives.
Experience personal growth
We want to see you grow in your role. In a mid-scale organisation like ENB, there will be opportunities to develop and broaden your role. We will encourage you to develop your role and grow your responsibilities as opportunities arise for you.
In your chosen career path
Your team will be made up of professionals at different stages in their career. We can often offer advice and support as you plan your journey.
