Mechanical Project Manager HVAC & Plumbing
Job Title: Mechanical Project Manager
Location: Newbury, with work in Oxford, Reading and Guildford
Salary: £65,000 + £5,000 car allowance
The Role:
1. Responsible for all Mechanical aspects of projects
2. Responsible for effective relationship management with clients & working partners to achieve smooth operational and commercial progression of projects
3. Making sure health, safety & welfare is maintained and adhered to at project/site level
4. Managing projects from contract signature stage, through all phases until handover to the end user
5. Ensuring that all related design information is correctly and fully audited to secure overall compliance
6. Overseeing all elements of the overall commissioning process to ensure that the installations are correctly commissioned
7. Ensuring that complete and comprehensive records are collated and maintained covering all aspects of quality control, system/equipment testing, water treatment, commissioning and equipment maintenance
8. Working closely with the Quantity Surveyor for progress reports and to ensure all commercial and contractual requirements are correctly fulfilled
9. Attend on site meetings, as and when required
10. Overseeing the preparation of operation & maintenance manuals
11. Providing technical support and expertise to the internal project team
12. Managing variation costings and control with the Quantity Surveyor and main contractor
13. Responsible for handover to clients and after care
14. Responsible to produce monthly progress reports
15. Required to create RAMS & ITPs
16. Responsible for all aspects of procurement including writing subcontractor orders & purchase orders
17. Required to prepare technical submittals
18. Required to conduct technical reviews of design information, raise RFI's and other technical solutions
19. Reporting to the Managing Director
The Company:
1. 15+ years experience delivering MEP projects in the UK
2. Specialises in the Pharma sector on labs and cleanrooms
3. Offices based in Newbury, Berkshire
4. This company has ambitious growth plans over the next couple of years
The Ideal Candidate:
1. Will have 5+ years experience working as a Mechanical Project Manager
2. Will have previous experience working with commercial projects up to £2 million
3. Will hold a Black CSCS Managers Card
4. Will work well under pressure to meet deadlines
5. Will have excellent communication skills
6. Will be located in the Berkshire, M4 corridor area
