A brand new special needs (SEN) school based Barking and Dagenham is seeking an SEN Teacher for an ASD/SLD Class - opportunity in either Early Years of Key Stage 1.
The SLT Team are equally happy to receive applications from experienced teachers in SEN, Primary or Early Years teaching and can also support induction for a ECT.

6. Teaching a mixed class, pupils with Autism and Severe Learning Difficulties
7. Pupils working at P levels
8. Curriculum based loosely on the Early Years curriculum with a particular focus on developing social and communication skills.
9. Work alongside two really friendly and capable learning support assistants (LSAs)
10. Make use of School facilities including Sensory Rooms and extensive outside areas
11. Sociable staff team (regular Friday drinks!)

The successful Special Needs Teacher will need to be;
12. Flexible, with the ability to use their own initiative where required
13. Experienced working in an SEN school or with ASD and SLD children
14. Right to work in the UK
15. Clear and up to date DBS
16. UK QTS or an overseas teaching qualification
Ideally the successful applicant will have a proven track record working in an SEN environment but the Headteacher will consider a primary trained teacher with a passion for SEN, a proven track record as a teacher and a can do attitude.
