Welsh-Medium Teaching Assistant Primary School Teaching Personnel are working with a fantastic primary school in the Swansea area to recruit a teaching assistant to start in January 2025. We are specifically looking for a Welsh-Medium Teaching Assistant with experience working with children with additional learning needs to run interventions with small groups. Role Details: Job Title : Welsh-Medium Teaching Assistant (TA) Sector : Primary School Job Type : Full Time Start Date : 06/01/25 Location : Swansea Schedule : Monday to Friday (8:30am – 3:30pm) Key Responsibilities: Welsh-Medium Teaching Assistant to run interventions with small groups of children. Types of interventions include reading, verbal, writing. Support teaching of phonics and reading fluency Deliver interventions and adapt learning programmes for individuals and groups Assess, record, and report on student progress, ensuring accurate evidence Prepare interventions and support social/emotional well-being Ability to support students across both Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) as required. Follow school policies on child protection, health and safety, confidentiality, and data protection. Attend staff and LSA briefings Experience or willingness to assist with the delivery of the Welsh curriculum. Requirements: Fluent Welsh speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Welsh and English. Minimum of GCSEs in English and Mathematics. Eligibility to work in the UK and ability to pass enhanced DBS checks. Driving license (preferred but not essential). Experience of delivering interventions to support vulnerable learner What We Are Looking For: Previous experience working with children, ideally in the education or care setting.
