The Role: You, as an SEMH Teaching Assistant, will be there to provide extra assistance to children who need support with their feelings and learning. You will help them with their school work, and you will also help them manage their feelings. Your work with teachers will ensure these children are happy and learning well in a safe and friendly classroom. Key Responsibilities: Support the delivery of simple, engaging lessons that help children manage their emotions. Offer guidance with both schoolwork and emotional well-being to enhance learning. Work alongside teachers to implement individualised learning plans. Create a warm and inclusive classroom atmosphere where all students feel supported. Encourage positive behaviour and help students build respectful relationships with their peers. What We’re Looking For: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly supporting students with SEMH needs. A genuine passion for helping children develop both academically and emotionally. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff and students. The ability to adapt and respond to the individual needs of learners. An updated CV covering the last ten years, with any gaps explained.
