This is a newly created role which offers a fantastic opportunity to lead on a number of exciting procurements as part of a multimillion-pound build of a new hospital.
Description
1. Manage and oversee procurement and supply chain activities for the department.
2. Analyse market trends and apply knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
3. Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best price and quality for goods and services.
4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
5. Ensure compliance with public sector procurement regulations and standards.
6. Drive continuous improvement within the procurement and supply chain processes.
7. Report on procurement activities and performance.
8. Contribute to the strategic planning of the procurement department.
Profile
1. Proven experience in a procurement role within the public sector.
2. Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
3. Strong understanding of procurement regulations in the public sector.
4. Good analytical and strategic planning abilities.
5. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
6. Can demonstrate a track record of delivering savings ideally in a public sector setting.
This person will have experience running tender processes using an e-tendering system with an understanding of public sector frameworks. This opportunity will allow the successful individual to be involved in a diverse range of categories including IT, Construction, FM & Corporate.
Job Offer
1. A competitive salary of between £46,000 and £48,500 per annum.
