Project Planner - Construction
Location: Crowborough - East Sussex
Salary: £50,000 to £60,000
About:
Hunter Mason is representing a successful construction company that specializes in a variety of services including refurbishment, M&E, and fit-out projects on an international basis. Their projects range from office spaces and large residences to new builds. Due to company growth, they are looking for an experienced Project Planner to join them on a permanent basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Defining project scope, scheduling work, estimating resources and costs, and coordinating tasks to ensure timely project completion.
2. Create and manage schedules.
3. Estimate required resources, materials, and labour.
4. Develop budgets and cost estimates.
5. Coordinate tasks and activities with subcontractors and relevant departments.
6. Identify potential delays and adjust schedules to prevent projects from overrunning.
7. Collaborate with the project manager to ensure all project requirements are met.
8. Monitor and report on project status and performance.
9. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
10. Develop and maintain the programme with input from the Design, Procurement/Construction project team.
11. Provide planning support to tender evaluations, pre-construction design planner, and transition programme planner.
12. Update and report work package procurement and interface with construction.
13. Analyze project resource demands, availability; assess man-hours and associated costs, purchasing costs, and expense costs on a weekly basis; assess committed and actual purchase costs/forecasts.
14. Track, monitor, and report key milestones and critical path issues to the programme & organize internal meetings with the relevant work package manager & project team.
Experience and Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of NEC3 contracts.
2. Previous Project Planner experience working for a construction company.
