Henners Vineyard is seeking an enthusiastic Cellar Door Manager to lead our team, manage day-to-day operations, and bring fresh ideas to enhance our offerings. As our Cellar Door Manager, you’ll oversee the team, run shifts, and ensure every guest leaves with a lasting impression. This role is focused on both exceptional customer service and driving business growth.
The cellar door is open Thursday to Sunday, with occasional private events on other days, and comes with the benefit of no late nights. We’re looking for a hospitality professional with a proven record in meeting KPIs, managing a team, and thinking creatively to increase footfall and revenue.

Responsibilities:
* Shift Leadership: Manage Thursday–Sunday shifts, ensuring an outstanding guest experience from arrival to departure.
* Team Supervision: Oversee the hospitality team during shifts, including hiring seasonal staff, scheduling rotas, and ensuring clear team communication.
* Customer Relations: Address inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.
* Revenue Generation: Drive new business through the Cellar Door, introducing creative strategies to increase foot traffic and sales.
* Payroll & Admin: Process team hours for payroll and manage staff training records in coordination with the Operations team.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all operations align with health, safety, and licensing regulations, including food hygiene.
* Budget Management: Assist in budgeting, controlling costs, and preparing weekly financial reports, including labour and inventory expenses.
* Inventory & Stock Control: Collaborate on inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining quality in storage and handling.
* Tech & POS Oversight: Ensure smooth operation and updates of technology and POS systems to improve efficiency.
* Event Management: Plan and execute events, tastings, and functions with attention to detail and guest satisfaction.
* Community Engagement: Build local partnerships and attend community events to promote Henners and attract new guests.
* Booking Management: Oversee booking operations to ensure seamless and efficient guest experiences.
* Wine Tastings & Tours: Lead wine tastings, tours, and events to engage and educate guests, enhancing their overall experience.
* Pop-Up Collaborations: Coordinate with our food pop-up partners and source new vendors, creating a calendar for our peak season.
* Trade Day Assistance: Support trade events as needed to promote the brand.
Requirements:
* Previous management experience in hospitality or events required.
* Strong interest in wine (full training provided).
* Proven ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.
* Proficiency with POS systems for order processing and inventory management.
* Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
