Manage campaign implementation process operations: You will manage the end-to-end marketing campaign operations. This includes collaborating and partnering with BU Integrated Marketing leaders with a keen focus on campaign and execution planning, tactical execution, and optimization of campaign program tactics across multiple channels. You will ensure that campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with the overall marketing strategy.
Coordinate with the shared services teams across marketing operations: As part of the shared service organization, you will work closely with team members across all shared services disciplines (digital, content, marketing automation, creative, and events) to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration. This may involve sharing best practices, leveraging resources, and aligning processes and systems to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure alignment with business objectives: Your marketing operations campaign manager role will require you to understand the detailed marketing objectives for each business unit and, in partnership with stakeholders, align marketing campaigns accordingly. You will ensure campaign programs and tactics align with the defined campaign goals, messaging, and target audiences provided for each campaign to ensure alignment and drive business impact.
Focus on driving campaign effectiveness: Your role will be to analyze campaign performance and make data-driven recommendations to improve campaign program and tactic effectiveness. You will monitor key metrics, conduct A/B testing, and leverage experts in our marketing operation's shared service disciplines to optimize campaigns and drive better results.
Your responsibilities
Define common campaign structure and elements:
1. Spearhead a consistent framework for marketing campaign structure and elements. This involves ensuring key components of a campaign, such as objectives, goals, target audience, competitive positioning, a clear value proposition, and customer journey messaging, are clearly defined before embarking on campaign planning and execution.
Document campaign planning and execution lifecycle roles and responsibilities:
2. Document the roles and responsibilities of different functions involved in the campaign planning and execution process. Establish governance and responsibilities of marketing operations, creative, digital, content, and sales enablement teams to ensure everyone understands their responsibilities and can work together effectively to achieve established campaign goals.
Coordinate with key functions as they fulfill campaign programs and tactics:
3. Acts as a central coordinator, working closely with various functions in executing the programs and tactics that make up a campaign. This includes coordinating reputation, demand generation, engagement, and enablement programs.
4. Ensure program tactics align with the overall campaign objective to drive a cohesive and integrated approach to campaign execution.
POC for questions on campaign priorities, responsibilities, resources, and timing:
5. Act as the point of contact for any questions or clarifications related to campaign priorities, responsibilities, resources, and timing.
6. Address inquiries from team members, stakeholders, and other departments, providing guidance, resolving issues or conflicts, and helping maintain clarity and transparency in campaign planning and execution.
Measure campaign performance and course correct as campaign execution unfolds:
7. Partner and collaborate with marketing operations and analytics teams to measure and analyze campaign performance and KPIs, such as conversion rates, ROI, engagement metrics, and sales impact.
8. Work with marketing stakeholders to make data-driven decisions and course-correct during campaign execution to maximize the campaign's effectiveness and impact.
9. Drive continuous performance improvement by identifying, documenting, and implementing best practices.
Coordinate campaign program and budget reviews:
10. Work closely with marketing stakeholders to ensure the budget is utilized effectively, that the allocated budget aligns with the campaign objectives, and that resources are allocated efficiently.
11. Coordinate with business stakeholders to ensure participation in marketing campaign program and tactic review, gathering feedback and insights to optimize the campaign's impact on sales outcomes.
What your background should look like:
12. 5-7+ years of Marketing experience across multiple roles, including marketing operations, digital marketing, marketing planning, and tactic execution.
13. Bachelor’s degree in marketing required, MBA preferred.
14. Knowledge of and audience and experience planning
15. Understand how to implement reputation, demand generation, customer engagement, and enablement programs.
16. Experience working across multiple business units.
17. Experience directing the work of a shared services team.
18. Strong analytical ability and demonstrated proficiency in managing the analytical work of others.
19. Demonstrate strong interpersonal and team building skills; ability to work with a diverse team and influence/drive change across functional and business boundaries.
20. Proven ability to work collaboratively with other executives, functional leaders, and executives in a complex, global business environment.
21. Continuous improvement attitude: ability to develop and implement best practices.
22. Knowledge and understanding of Forrester/SiriusDecisions B2B marketing best practices, campaign, and messaging frameworks a plus.
