P/T H & S Officer

Schedule: M - F, 20 hours per week
Salary: £20,266pa
Our client is looking for a H & S Officer who will be responsible for identifying and mitigating workplace hazards. They will ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, advising management on safe working practices, and promoting a culture of safety within the business.
Duties include:
1. Work with the H & S Manager in determining safe working practices, ensuring suitable and sufficient risk assessments for operations and effective risk control measures are adhered to.
2. Undertake planned health and safety audits and workplace inspections to ensure audit compliance with regulations and procedures.
3. Ensure general administration of the Health and Safety requirements are carried out in an accurate and timely manner.
4. Maintain, review, and revise first aid arrangements, organising appropriate training as necessary in liaison with the H & S manager.
5. Coordinate quarterly Health and Safety Committee meetings.
6. Carry out investigations of all accidents/incidents and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.
7. Administer the Risk Assessment, MSDS, and COSHH systems for the site.
To be considered for the role, candidates must have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role with NEBOSH Level 3 General Certificate in Health & Safety qualification. They must be articulate and confident with report writing and have strong planning and organisational skills.
