Job Title: Assistant Team Manager
Location: Durham
Rate: £275 per day
Liquid Personnel is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Team Manager to join Durham’s Children in Care Team.
What will your responsibilities be?
As an Assistant Team Manager, you will build effective relationships with children, young people, and families, ensuring that children and young people lead their care planning. You will advocate for and appreciate individual needs to achieve outcomes based on evidence-based assessments. You will spend quality time with children in care, understanding their views, life events, and supporting them to understand and recover from their experiences. You will complete and update assessments and review care plans, assess and manage risk with the support of your team manager, and be part of a strong multi-agency team including education, health, and the therapeutic service Full Circle. Your role will involve contributing to the continuous improvement of outcomes for children in care and developing the service further.

Qualifications and Experiences:
To be successful in this role, you must hold a fully accredited DipSW/Social Work degree (equivalent to Level 6 NQF), be registered with Social Work England, and have a management qualification or equivalent experience. You should have a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in Children’s Social Care, experience working with all service user groups and minority ethnic groups, and experience interpreting and applying the law relating to children and/or adult services. Additionally, you should have experience in child protection and childcare work and the issues arising from it.
