We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to assist in the running of the Finance department. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for numbers and a desire to build a career in accounting. You will enjoy a varied role working on a wide range of tasks, such as:
* Processing purchase invoices and accurately tracking delivery notes and credit notes.
* Processing of sales invoices.
* Assisting with month-end procedures.
* Accurately recording accounts information in SAGE.
* Liaising with suppliers and customers.
* Providing support associated with the management of the company accounts.
* Learning to undertake all responsibilities, including balancing accounts, VAT returns, payroll and Inland Revenue returns.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
* Accounts qualification an advantage.
* Knowledge and previous experience in using SAGE accounting system, particularly Purchase Ledger.
* Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
* Good computer skills including accounts package, MS Office and in-house CRM system.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills.
* Ability to build strong working relationships (internal/external).
* Ability to effectively prioritise tasks and manage time.
