The Orangery Café, alongside our retail outlets, represents the face of the organisation. The role of Café Assistant is key in providing a warm welcome and excellent customer service to all visitors, including patients, staff, volunteers, and visitors.
Main duties of the job
1. Using the computerised till
2. Serving customers
3. Providing excellent customer service
4. Clearing tables
5. Replenishing stock
6. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
7. Supervising and supporting volunteers
8. Taking bookings over the telephone
9. Opening and closing the café
10. Handling end-of-day banking

Hours: 7.5 hours per week

* Pay will be at the national minimum/living wage
* Experience is preferred but full training will be provided for the right candidate
* You will work alongside a fantastic team of staff and volunteers
* Responsibilities include serving customers, clearing tables, making drinks, taking bookings, and ensuring the smooth running of the café
* Using an EPOS till, handling cash and card transactions
