We are a long-established business that specialises in the manufacture of low volume, high quality, tubular and threaded components for various sectors including Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Defense industries. Due to continuous expansion, we are actively hiring for an experienced CNC Turner programmer setter as we are looking to expand our engineering team.
Experience Required - CNC Turner, Programmer, Setter (NIGHTS)
1. Proven time served experience in CNC programming, setting and operating 2 axis turning machines.
2. Ability to write new CNC programs long hand at the machine with little or no supervision.
3. Editing prewritten programs, full machine setup including material, tooling, speeds, feeds.
4. Carry out in-process inspection using measuring equipment.
5. Producing one off, as well as low to medium volume precision parts in a range of hard and soft metals.
6. Excellent working knowledge of 2 axis CNC machines, cutting speeds and feeds, geometric tolerances.
7. Solid understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and standards.
8. Experience of Fanuc controls would be advantageous.
9. Strong working history within the manufacturing industry in a machine shop environment.
10. Hands-on, quality driven, positive, self-motivated manner to hit the ground running.
11. Confident in working on parts up to ¢300mm x 3m in length, using lifting equipment provided as some of our work can be large. Hoist training will also be provided.
Package and Benefits: CNC Turner, Programmer, Setter (NIGHTS)
1. Salary depending on experience. Range £45,000 - £49,000 per annum.
2. The position is full-time and permanent, and an immediate start is available.
3. Hours are Monday - Wednesday 4.30pm - 3.30am, Thursday 4.30pm - 1.30am.
4. Holidays are 20 days + 8 Bank Holidays + Bonus holiday over the Christmas Period.
