We have a fantastic opportunity for a Credit Risk Analyst to join our dedicated and tenacious team in working from our York or Norwich offices. This is a great job for someone to support on the management of one of the largest portfolios of insurance assets under management in the UK.
A bit about the job:
This position sits within the Investment Wealth Retirement (IWR) CIO function, working within the Credit Risk team. Within the role you will to support the team in fulfilling their responsibilities of Credit Portfolio Monitoring, Credit Limits, New Credit Transactions, New Asset Classes and Credit Environment Assessment. You will develop an understanding of credit risk and portfolio management and successful delivery of your responsibilities will achieve material benefits for the organisation in the long term. The focus is predominately around providing these responsibilities for the Matching Adjustment Portfolio (MAP) but also includes other funds.
Additionally, you will:
1. Support credit portfolio monitoring, concentration risk and ongoing oversight of the existing investment portfolio
2. Data hygiene and analysis with production or development of credit management information
3. Asset class, sector, and region credit investigations
4. Provide support to aid management action for identified credit risks or credit limit breaches
5. Proactive management of credit risk issues or events
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
6. Strong analytical and IT skills including advanced Excel
7. An awareness of commercial and financial matters - understanding of credit and business sectors
8. Solution driven and proven ability to work as part of a team working collaboratively towards the business vision and goals
9. Relevant business degree (or equivalent), with financial qualifications advantageous or working towards relevant professional qualification e.g. Actuarial or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
10. Manage workload and relationships in a flexible, dynamic, and proactive manner

11. Starting salary Circa £32,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
12. Bonus opportunity - 8% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
