We are looking for a dynamic Employment Specialist to join a dedicated team across the Furness Peninsula. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in transforming lives through tailored support, expert guidance, and partnership working with both clients and employers.
This isn’t a one-size-fits-all role. As an Employment Specialist, you'll deliver focused, one-to-one support driven by each person's strengths, aspirations, and circumstances, working collaboratively to remove barriers and create clear pathways into meaningful employment.
What You'll Be Doing
1. Lead a caseload of clients, using a strengths-based approach to identify goals and overcome obstacles to employment.
2. Design personalised action plans that support clients at every stage of their journey, whether it's confidence-building, training, or navigating the job market.
3. Coach and empower clients with expert advice on job applications, CV development, interview techniques, and transitioning into work.
4. Develop employer relationships, identifying opportunities and advocating for inclusive hiring practices and ongoing support.
5. Champion sustained employment, providing follow-up support to ensure a smooth transition and long-term success in the workplace.
What You'll Bring
1. Experience supporting individuals into work, or transferable expertise in career development, coaching, or mentoring.
2. Strong communication and motivational skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
3. A proactive and empathetic mindset, with a solution-focused approach to challenges.
4. Passion for supporting people with complex needs to achieve independence and purpose through work.
5. Excellent organisation and goal-setting abilities, with a commitment to measurable outcomes.
Due to the nature of this role, you will hold a driving licence and have access to your own vehicle. You will also be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check if successful in the role.
If this sounds like the perfect role for you, please submit your CV.
