New Assistant: Retirement Housing with Meals Opportunity in Greenock - Weekend job We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join our Jamaica Court team in Greenock as an Assistant: RHWM. Our caring team works to ensure people aged 60 and over have the opportunity to maintain their independence, but take over the worries, such as meals, repairs and looking after the garden. The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking a range of duties to ensure that internal communal areas are clean, hygienic and meet the standards expected by our tenants and visitors to the development. You will also assist by preparing the dining room for mealtimes, heating prepared meals and delivering them to tenants. On occasion, the Assistant will be expected to clean vacant flats and/ or external pathways of the development and provide general and emergency assistance to tenants, as required. In addition you will respond to property emergencies, taking appropriate action when the Manager is off duty and providing cover for the development office as required. Hours of employment are 16 hours per week, working Saturday and Sunday, 10:30 am - 7:00 pm, including a 30-minute unpaid break. Role Requirements Experience of a similar type of role would be an advantage but is not an essential requirement as training will be provided. You should bring to the role a genuine interest in working with older people and an ability to respond calmly to requests for assistance.
